Saybrook College, 242 Elm Street, New Haven CT 06511
The freshman counselors, all of them Saybrook seniors, play a special role in the college. Together with the dean, they counsel and advise first-year students, living with them on the Old Campus and providing them with academic and personal counseling during the freshman year. In addition to bringing an important peer perspective to their roles, the freshman counselors receive special training in helping students adapt to college life.
Head Fro Co Jason Douglass is double majoring in Film Studies and East Asian Studies, which means he will spend most of his time as a freshman counselor preaching the benefits of studying seemingly ummarketable disciplines. His interests primarily include the reactions that freshmen will have to his list of interests, and his sense of humour is known to overpower all of his other senses, rendering him utterly incapable of creating a useful bio.

Ric Caraballo is a chemical engineering major from Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to being heavily involved in Saybrook life, he is also a FOOT leader, a student tech, and an engineering tour guide. In high school he was given the senior superlative of "Biggest Procrastinator." It was a write-in. His classmates knew him well.

Leticia Dwomor, also known as Tish, is very excited to be a Saybrook FroCo! She is a Psychology major with a concentration in Neuroscience and is also Premed. At Yale, she has been a member of the Yale Gospel Choir, The Yale African Students Association and the Yale Step Team so she is always down (and ready!) for a friendly step battle. Most recently, Leticia has discovered a passion for DJing and can be found toying around with Virtual DJ in her free time. She is very excited for the experiences in store for the freshmen and the role she will play in them.
Andres Fuentes-Afflick
Andres hails from the great state of California, where he graduated from Lick Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. A political science major, Andres has a particular interest in the ethical considerations in politics and will (fingers crossed) be writing his senior essay on the topic during the year! Aside from that, he loves to sing, and was a three year member of Shades A Cappella, Yale's premier singing group. He also works in the Saybrook Master's Office, where you're never short of laughs or good company, especially because the Dean's Office is right next door! He is an avid soccer fan (Go Chelsea!! Blue is the Colour!) and is a member of the Yale Men's Club Soccer Team, as well as serving as a captain on the Saybrook Intramural Soccer Teams. Aside from those activities, you'll find Andres playing FIFA with some buddies, or exclaiming "Kobe!" around the campus.
He can't wait to welcome the newest group of Saybrook students to campus, and show them why they're a part of the best residential college at Yale! SAY WHAT? SAYBROOK! Welcome to Yale, Class of 2016!
Jimi Mandilk
Jimi Mandilk has enjoyed studying many subjects at Yale, from physics to modern Greek literature, but settled on the analytical-yet-mysterious Mathematics and Philosophy major. A native of Michigan, he boldly scoffs in the face of New Haven weather. When he becomes so excited about his freshmen's happy lives that he can no longer hold it in, you may find him playing the clarinet, either seated in the poised and formal Yale Concert Band or running around campus with the wacky Yale Precision Marching Band. He enjoys service work and is particularly involved in organizing blood drives for the American Red Cross at Yale. As a Student Tech, he's learning how technology works so that he will be prepared when the robots rebel. (If it's a zombie apocalypse, well, at least Leticia knows a little something about brains.) When he's not doing any of the above activities, you may find him describing himself in the third person. A fan of late-night conversations about deep topics, Jimi looks forward to learning much from Saybrook 2016 and perhaps sharing a few kernels of his own wisdom, too. He invites you to visit him often!
Andrea Ramos is a proud native of Merced, California who, as a History major, is obsessed with the world, but in particular has an unhealthy obsession with Latin America due to her pure Mexican roots. While her long, curly mane (aka her hair) might intimidate you with its wild look- fear not for she is insanely friendly and can't wait to get to know you. At Yale she's involved in various forms of education reform from mentoring to tutoring and simply helping out others. Her hobbies include baking, eating lots of ethnic foods, watching too much tv/movies, and spending more time with her friends than with her school work. Come visit her anytime for some tea! She looooves tea :)

Anne Song is a Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry major from Hudson, Ohio. She enjoys playing soccer for Yale and basketball for Saybrook, and is an ardent Cleveland sports fan. She is thankful for the endless opportunities Yale has offered and the personal growth that it has fostered. She is excited to be a froco in the best residential college at Yale!

BJ White is a Sociology major from Chicago, IL. A military brat (no, it's not offensive--it derives from a 200-year-old acronym for "British Regiment Attached Traveler"), BJ has also lived in Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, New York, and Oklahoma. After spending his first two summers abroad, BJ was happy to spend this last summer as a working man in the big city. Now, helooks forward to spending his last year at Yale growing old friendships, forming new ones, and cooking lots and lots of stovetop popcorn.
