Please join the Saybrook and Branford Communication and Consent Educators with Saybrook's own Allie Bauer ('12) in a discussion about relationships at Yale, from hookups to dating. We will be eating pizza and talking about some of the results Allie found in her sexual satisfaction survey of the Yale undergraduate student body, and we would love to hear people's thoughts and reactions. Thursday, March 1st from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Saybrook-Branford room. Pizza will be served.
Join Saybrook grad affiliate, Peter Gayed, MD, PhD, and seven of his Yale Med colleagues tonight (Tuesday, Jan 31st) at 8 pm in the Saybrook-Branford room to discuss alternative paths to medical school and options once you get there.
Look for upcoming grad affiliate career panels over lunch in the Fellows’ dining room on Fridays: February 10th, Yale School of Management; and February 17th graduate study; “Is a PhD right for you?”
Sophomores, juniors and seniors must register in person by coming to the dean's office, any time on Monday, January 9, 2012, during regular office hours: 8:30-12:30 and 1:30-5:00.
The Personal Librarians for Saybrook are hosting a Chipotle Study Break to help you before the stress of Reading Week. For freshmen and sophomores, meet your Personal Librarian, ask questions, and get answers you thought you already knew. For juniors and seniors, learn who your subject specialists are for your majors. Information on useful paper writing resources and services will be available.
Sophomores: I'm organizing an event for you to learn more about choosing majors, studying abroad, and lining up summer internships, fellowships, and jobs. I'll be inviting seniors, so that you can hear how they chose their majors, decided to double major, and, in some cases, go "post-med." But I'll also be inviting representatives from the Offices of Fellowship Programs and Career Services, to talk about resources about which you will want to know.
Sophomores: Check your inbox for an invitation from Master Hudak, to a buffet dinner in the Master’s House, followed by a conversation on sophomore life in Saybrook. Because there are so many of you, Master Hudak has scheduled three dinners, each from 5:30pm – 7:00pm, on October 16, 17, and 23. The message in your inbox will tell you which dinner you should attend. To make sure there's enough food for everyone, please RSVP to the invitation, confirming that you will attend, asking to attend a different dinner than the one to which you have been assigned, or to decline.
