Kenneth Townsend is one of Saybrook's two residential graduate affiliates. He lives in entryway O with his wife Ann, who also helps out around the college. Kenneth is currently pursuing a joint degree in Yale's law school and divinity school. Prior to Yale, he taught ethics and political theory at the University of Mississippi, and before that he completed an MPhil in political theory at Oxford. In Saybrook, Kenneth coordinates the weekly Mellon Forum dinners at which seniors share their senior essay research with one another. He also advises students who apply for various national and international fellowships.
Kyle Skinner graduated from Yale in 2011 with a B.A. in Italian Language and Literature. His senior essay, an analysis of biblical allusions in the final tale of Boccaccio’s Decameron, reflects on the use of biblical exegesis in fiction and the tension between theology and literary creation in the medieval period. He is now a first-year PhD student in the Italian department, focusing his research on medieval literature. As a Resident Graduate Affiliate in Saybrook, Kyle assists in coordinating Master’s Teas.
