Larry Bowman

Larry Bowman is currently a 4th year PhD Candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology where he researches how biodiversity is generated and maintained using population genetics and molecular ecology.  Originally from Southwest Virginia in the heart of Appalachia, Larry was raised on a horse farm and rides with Yale Polo.  Larry completed his AB in Biological Sciences and English Literature at Dartmouth College, the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program, Mystic, CT, and his MS in Biology from East Tennessee State University.  Larry has a K-12 teaching background and enjoys discussing education reform and curriculum development.  He also enjoys fishing, French horn, and Frasier.  At Saybrook, he throws fancy parties, aka Mellon Forums.  He may be reached at larry.bowman@yale.edu
