Master and Associate Master’s Report

  • Mellon Forum this Wednesday.
  • IM Study Break also this Wednesday.

 

Dean’s Report

  • Nothing to report.

 

Committee Reports

SAC (Saybrook Activities Committee)

  • Late-night breakfast study break last week was a success.
  • Next week will be a Thanksgiving-themed study break.
  • And lastly, the next tailgate will be at the Game.

Community Service

  • No report.

Facilities

  • No report.

Clothing Committee:

  • Pre-orders through the master’s office has been finalized.
  • The quarter-zips have been quoted as being $25. Pre-orders for those will begin.

Intramurals

  • Fall season is over!
  • IM study break at 9pm,  this Wednesday, in the master’s house. Six-foot Subway subs.

Sustainability Committee

  • A successful study-break last Friday. Students shown how to recycle properly.
  • Recycling totes in place in Vandy’s entryway E.
  • Energy-saving instruction stickers will be placed on heaters.

Dining Committee

  • Nothing to report, but will soon meet with the dining hall managers on Thursday. Contact Xinxin Xu, Sarah Holder, Patrick Casey with comments and concerns.
  • The master is “augmenting” brunch this Sunday. Lox, bagels possibly.

Media Committee

  • Have a mindful Veterans’ Day. 

College Seminar Committee

  • No report.

Saybrook Historical Society Committee

  • Former Dean McKinley coming to talk about SY with SHSC this Friday.
  • Will also discuss plans for an end of semester luncheon.
  • meets at 1pm, fellows’ lounge, this Friday.

Bylaws

  • No report.

Housing

  • No report.

YCC

  • Pro and con statements concerning the disinvestment referendum are due tonight (Monday).Town-hall meeting Wednesday in LC 211 at 7:30. Voting begins on Sunday.
  • Class sweaters available.
  • A forum on mental health at Yale will take place this Saturday at 3:30 in 17 Hillhouse.

Brewing Club

  • No report.

Mascot Committee

  • No report.

New Business

None. There are still $230 in the rolling fund.

Teams are now forming for Final Cut! If any aspiring chefs are inerested, we need two or three SY teams to vie for the honor of representing our college.

Be aware if you’re interested in volunteering or running: SAC and e-board position terms will end at the beginning of next semester.
