    • Great events this last week! Apple picking, apple baking/eating, and a lovely fall formal! 

    • Just announced the Prof lunch program via email. Can be individuals or groups. You can sign up for one of the listed dates through Ann Marie

    • There’ll be an announcement about a town hall next week to follow up on the results from Dean Chun’s survey about the quality of food and the dining hall. It’ll also be about facilities specifics which is important because currently in negotiations with Yale construction about the breadth of the renovations mostly in the basement. Want community input and it will give the leverage needed to engage with these entities

      • Mary went to Koon Thai ( pretty gluten-free friendly) and had Thai fried rice.

    • Had table tennis match tonight which we unfortunately lost, but we’re still in first place

    • Will have pickleball and volleyball after break so get ready

    • POI: Have soccer and football playoffs right when we get back so get prepared

    • Syder kegged and the beer is  a week away

    • Look out for beer tasting event in one of the first 2 Saturdays after break

    • Brewing a hard seltzer if anyone wants to champion that cause

    • Conrad went to go research his fact in the Saybrary but did not return, alas 

    • Lots of questions about our grape costume since Jes and Donasia wore it today at IMs. One of our mascots is a bunch of grapes (punny). The initial CT colony started in the town of Saybrook, which is one of the two cities where Yale (then the Collegiate School) was located before New Haven. The symbol of SY, CT was the grapevine, so as a college we adopted their insignia. Their Latin phrase which is our motto is, “He who is transplanted thrives.”

    • POI and Point of Imploration if you will, Mary is a senior. We’re a charitable college. Someone truly should step up and get involved and get more involved in SY and use Sy’s resources for community service!

  • New Business

    • POI: Meet Shauna, who is a YPD officer who volunteered to be the engagement and inclusion liaison for SY. Allowing us to have a more direct connection to YPD. Will be getting a cell phone if you feel more comfortable texting a police officer. Will do things like help set up for dances before her shift starts. Also the liaison for Trumbull and is doing a Popeye’s study break for them, so we can do something similar.

      • POI: May send out an email introducing her due to pre-break attendance levels

    • POI: Can we move Systainability back in the order since Danielle can’t get there until 10:15ish?

      • Ask a senior girl what they had for dinner. Tradition. 

    • POI: Tradition of a potluck every year, which Jazzy is organizing. November 2nd. Prof Near and Allison open up their home and students cook throughout the day and eat dinner and clean together after. Just have to send ingredients to Allison and she’ll buy them.

    • Quiche has partnered with SYstainability on reusable plates and is nice and let’s you take them to bring back. Please actually bring them back. Can even just leave them outside of Squiche if it is closed.
