    • SY Fall Formal at Jack’s this Friday from 11-1:30. Tickets are $5 and were sold during dinner today and will be again on Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6:30. Come at those times because they cannot accommodate anything else. 

    • POI: Can tickets be bought at the door?

      • No 

    • Why?

      • Not fair to SAC chairs to have to run around and track people down or fun

      • Worst case ask a friend to buy a ticket for you if you can’t make those times 

  • Community Service 

    • Clothing bin is now in the basement! Donate!

    • If you’re an underclassman who wants to get involved with your community, do it! 

    • POI: What does it entail?

      • Each college has a rep this year and they coordinate activities together and with a local organization. Talk to Mary if you have more questions

    • Did you know?: It’s technically not a constitutional duty for the VP to get food, so you’re welcome

    • POI: Didn’t Jack change that rule?

      • Yes, but it’s not adjusted on the online constitution

    • Sam and Jazzy are back at it! Working to give Sam the password. Get your stories ready. “Will be exploding with content.”

    • First Sandra’s event on Sunday and it was delicious. Looking forward to more! 

  • College Seminar

    • Interviews coming along and looking good

    • The Squiche now has reusable plates. If you’re staying, let the person working there know to avoid a plastic plate! 

    • POI: What does that mean?

      • There are plates there that they wash for people eating there to use. 

      • They are also using rags instead of paper towels to wipe things down. 

    • POI: Fixed the smog cloud. There is now ventilation.

    • POI: What caused it?

      • Sludge from the bottom of the fryers + not turning the vent hood on + not opening a window. Ask Micah if you want pics. 

  • IMs

    • Won 1-0 in soccer and won table tennis

    • The Wednesday soccer game got rescheduled for Yom Kippur

    • POI: Cross country results?

      • Will be out after October break

        • Either top 2 or top 4 for guys 

        • We came in first for guys (Leo) and 23rd. Girls were 3,5,10,13th. Go slaydies!

    • Syder kegged and delicious. Look forward to it.

    • Look forward to a brew event with beer tasting between October break and Thanksgiving

    • Wrexham Tower was modeled and named after the tower of St Giles Court in Wrexham, Wales where Elihu Yale is buried. An inscribed stone that was sent from the Old Welsh church as a gift to Yale is set in the tower’s base.

    • Alex’s meeting with Dean Chun and other College Council presidents

    • POI: When is it too late to submit for the sophomore pitch?

      • Never  

    • Donasia went to a meeting with the College Council Association 

      • They are trying to coordinate the dates of events better between colleges and YCC since either everything is happening at once or nothing

      • SY is in fantastic shape. Other colleges had a lot of questions about how we do events, have such great attendance, have such a great relationship with our HOC, Dean, and Operations Manager, etc. 

      • YCC working on an initiative to bring a Wellness Center to every college. Davenport now has one in addition to Silliman 

        • POI: SY doesn’t have the physical space for a wellness center since we are one of the older colleges, but we’re trying to have wellness initiatives (SaYwell) such as SaYoga and more events such as the ones at Bigg’s that offer a break from academics

        • POI: Imagine if the gym annex was converted into a wellness center since it isn’t used often?

          • Do we really want a wellness center with no windows?

        • POI:TD used an empty room that is basically a tv room a wellness room

    • POI: Redoing furniture in the basement as part of the renovation so the game room and tv room should be covered

    • POI: Frocos are interested in having guest stars at duty such as CCEs or anyone else first-years should know, so reach out if you’re interested

    • POI: Shoutout to SY community for going 2 weeks without losing the ping pong paddles
