    • Yale’s first home football game of the season is this Saturday at 1 against Holy Cross. It’s free, easily accessible with the shuttle, and a good time! 

    • Sent an email about the sophomore pitch (like a mini Mellon Forum) a while ago, but no one has sent in abstracts. Do that soon! 

  • Dean’s Report 

    • Doing pop up office hours with the Dean in the common room either this week or  next week! 

  • SAC

    • There will be a formal, but unsure when or where 

      • Likely October 11th or 12th 

      • POI: Have it at Jack’s? 

        • Probably 

    • Be on the lookout for an Amigos night soon

  • Community Service 

    • Meeting with Steven this week to talk about partnership with Neighborhood Housing Services so will have updates next week

    • Sending a college wide email about it this week 

    • If anyone is interested in taking over, let Mary know! She will help with the transition and give you more details. 

    • There’s typically a clothing donation bin in the laundry room, but there isn’t one right now. Figuring that out and it should be present again soon. 

  • By-Laws

    • Did you know: For budget meetings only, each class with at least 2 members present shall be entitled to a minimum of 2 votes, even if those 2 people did not attend the first meeting. 

      • If a given class has only 1 member present who satisfies the applicable voting requirements established in Article II, Section B, that class may elect 1 additional member to receive temporary voting rights lasting for the duration of that meeting only.

    • Roger sent some great photos in from the Saysib ice cream social that’ll be up soon

    • Don’t break things, but if you do report it and mark it as urgent if you want it resolved quickly

    • On a similar note, if your heater is broken call about that on the earlier side before it gets colder because it’ll likely take them a while to get to you

    • Planning a movie trip sometime within the next 2 weeks to see Hustlers at Bowtie

      • Can likely bring around 15 people

  • College Seminar

    • First interviews will be the week after next so keep an eye out for an email

      • Keep in mind that students who go to at least 5 interviews are treated to a special dinner

    • Yale Dining is offering their farm tours again! The first one is September 28th from 8ish - 2:ish. If you’re interested in seeing where the food you eat comes from, go.

    • Beer and Syder (cranberry orange) are doing well! The transfer to secondary stage also seems to be going great from the preliminary taste test.

    • Fun facts about the O entryway (aka “Hadley”) today given Conrad’s residency in the O61 Conglomerate 

    • The small garden there, which was dedicated in 2007, is the Kan’ichi Asakawa Garden and was named after Kan’ichi Asakawa, who emigrated from Japan, got his PHD at Yale, and became the first Japanese professor at an American college or university in 1937 

      • He was also a resident faculty fellow for SY in 1939-40

    • First-year College Council elections happened! Ben and Sophia won, so they are our new FCC reps!

      • It’s been brought to Micah’s attention because they keep disappearing 

      • He’s putting new paddles out tomorrow, so please make sure to leave them there! 

        • Put tiles inside of them? 

    • The stapler is also missing from the Computer Cluster 

      • Theory that these missing items are the work of people in other colleges
